Kaligandaki River rafting

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

  • Travel through the worlds deepest gorge
  • The best medium length expedition in Nepal
  • Spend the evening on a stunning beach overlooked by a famous Shiva Statue
  • 60 rapids in 60 minutes… need we say any more, welcome to Kaligandaki River Rafting! The Kali Gandaki borrows it’s name from the goddess Kali. Kali is considered the Divine Mother and at times can be destructive. She represents the natural forces of the lunar and solar currents and symbolizes a fear of death in the Hindu People. Though you need not fear death while paddling the Kali Gandaki, you will experience some wild and adrenaline pumping rapids that are going to make your heart race.
The River itself tumbles down to the plains from the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, carving through one of the deepest canyons in the world. Along the rivers course, you will find cascading warm water waterfalls which are great for playing in.

If you have the time, the Kaligandaki trip is one of the ‘must do things’ in Nepal, giving you an awesome taste of white water thrills, Nepal’s nature and culture at its best, as well as allowing you the chance to relax and get to know your rafting team around the evening fire on the pristine sandy white beaches that dot the Rivers banks.

    Rafting :

Kaligandaki river rafting is perfect for all as you need no previous experience. One of the most fun medium length rivers you can   do in Nepal.

    Kayaking :

The Kaligandaki is a friendly river for intermediate kayakers and a super fun play river for the experienced kayaker who will feel completely at home exhausting themselves play boating in the many holes and surf waves that abound in the river. One or two Class IV that can be portaged if necessary.

    CUSTOMER REVIEW

"It's simply an amazing experience - good rapids, outdoor camping by the river, great guides, and amazing scenery. It's fun, safety is always prioritised by the guides, and it's not that physically demanding - just the right amount of activity and group chill out time to make it a really enjoyable experience. I'm already mentally planning another trip with this company in 2016 to Tamur!"
